The role gives a default, but the assignment is what the person actually holds. Here you add or remove a permission on an account, for example when an office worker should also be able to read the access log.
Who can do this
Anyone with the permission Assign permissions to others. Every change is logged.
Before you start
Open the person's account card. You cannot change your own permissions — another admin does that.
Steps
- Press Assignment on the account card. The page Permission assignment is shown.
- Under What this account may do each permission is listed with a switch, grouped by what it concerns. The badge From the role shows what the role gives by default. Added and Removed show what differs from the default.
- Switch on or off the permissions to be changed.
- Press Save assignment.
Note: Changing the role on an account does not change what is already assigned. The role only acts as a default when the account is created.
Frequently asked questions
It says only an admin can give the right to see purchase price and markup
The permission See purchase price and markup is a trade secret and is only given or removed by an admin.
It says superadmin can never hold the customer register or price permissions
That is a barrier and not a fault. Superadmin sets up the installation and is not meant to see the business's customers and prices.
Installation health cannot be given
The permission See installation health can only be given to superadmin.
